On the 13th of June a delegation from Trinity College visited the Dodder Water Supply Scheme in Dublin, made up of the two Bohernabreena reservoirs and the Ballyboden treatment works and operated by Dublin City Council. The objective of the trip was to evaluate the suitability of the existing infrastructure for the installation of a Micro-hydropower scheme in order to generate clean electricity from the water flowing from the upper reservoir to the treatment works. The findings from the site visit will be condensed in a feasibility study soon-to-be delivered to the site management.

A special thanks goes to Dublin City Council for allowing the collaboration, and in particular to Eoin Walsh, Larry Callaghan and Gerard Goodwin.
