On the 4th of December a workshop was organized at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) in Ispra, Italy.

The aim of the event was to identify and discuss the emerging technologies in the hydropower field, assessing their present and projected Technology Readiness Level (TRL). Among the 7 invited international experts was Daniele Novara from Trinity College Dublin, who shared his experience on energy recovery from water networks and Pumps As Turbines acquired under the Dwr Uisce project.

The outcomes from the workshop will be disseminated through an EU Commission publication in due time.
