Educational programmes for schools and communities

Our educational programmes encourage critical thinking and foster creativity for a solution-driven approach to sustainability issues with potential lasting behavioural change.

We offer awareness raising and educational programmes on the water-energy nexus for:

  • Primary Schools: interactive webinars to explore the link between water and energy and discover where your tap water comes from

  • Secondary Schools: online programme to raise awareness on the climate action potential of saving water, including a Climate Action Hackathon

  • Third Level Students and Community Groups: we work with you to co-design and co-develop programmes to raise awareness of the climate action potential at the water-energy nexus in a relevant and engaging way, tailored to your needs. Climate action project design and planning can be included.

All our programmes are underpinned by transformative pedagogies, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary approaches and offer experiential-learning and skills development opportunities to participants. School programmes are curriculum-linked and they can also be tailored to your group’s needs.

We align our values with those of UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization) and believe that learners should be empowered to “take informed decisions and responsible actions for environmental integrity, economic viability and a just society, for present and future generations, while respecting cultural diversity”.
